Cranks but won't run
Fuel, spark, compression, in that order. You get told which one it is and what it costs before anything comes apart.
Carburetor and fuel system
Old fuel, gummed carbs, bad pumps and lines. The number one reason a ski sat all winter and won't wake up.
Impeller and jet pump
Cavitation, vibration, lost thrust, rope and weed damage. Wear ring and impeller service.
Outboard service
Tune ups, water pumps and impellers, lower unit oil, thermostats, trim and tilt.
Winterizing and storage prep
Fogged, drained, stabilized and covered right, so next season starts on the first crank.
Trailer too
Bearings, hubs, lights and wiring. The trailer is half the reason people miss a weekend on the water.
